2024R2: Key Insights You Can’t Afford to Miss
Workday 2024R2 is here! This blog shares all the top features that Kognitiv’s Product Lead team has determined you need to be aware of and should be adding to your roadmap.
A few features are automatically available, meaning they require no setup for you to see and use; the rest require setup, which typically includes some configuration, testing, and change management (as needed).

Configurable Security | User-Based Security Group Membership Workflow | Workday is releasing a workflow-driven version of the “Assign Users to User-Based Security Group” task in 24R2, building on the release from 24R1 with the BP-driven version of the “Assign User-Based Security Groups for Person” task.
Now, Workday has workflow-driven versions of both legacy user-based security assignment tasks, allowing for configurable approvals and better visibility into historical changes. These are intended to replace the existing tasks with the legacy versions being deprecated in the future. |

It has not been confirmed by Workday on when you can no longer opt out of the redesign, so it is recommended you at least turn this on in Preview if you haven’t already so you can see the new functionality. It is very different from the previous user experience. This multi-goal enhancement is a huge improvement, because before each goal had to be edited, added, deleted separately and sent individual goal events for each goal to the manager to approve if you have approvals on your Manage Goals bp.
