In this session, we'll discuss some helpful fundamentals around compliance and best practices for preparing your tenant to be compliant. We'll give a brief overview of SOX and GDPR compliance and talk through reports you can create or standard reports you can utilize in Workday to help with auditing events and changes, in addition to changes you can make to your business processes and security access to be more compliant.

In this session, we will go through the steps for creating and successfully launching, troubleshooting, and reporting off Learning campaign results.

First half of the session will be dedicated to Absence Occurrences functionality, which was initially introduced as a part of 2021 R1 and enhanced in R2. Absence Occurrences functionality can help improve accuracy and increase efficiency of Absence reporting by allowing managers to monitor the number of times a worker is absent and consecutive days of their absences. While the feature was initially intended for Absence reporting, with the R2 updates it opens new possibilities for advanced Absence configuration when limits apply to usage of time off, rather than its balances. Second half of the session will be allocated to any Absence-related questions from the attendees.

Security Segments in absence are an item that is easily overlooked but can be extremely valuable when configuring Leave Types and Time Off Plans. Workday delivers this functionality by default for Leave Types and will be requiring it soon for Time Off Plans. We will go through the setup, high impact items to look out for when setting up the segments and use cases for different segment security setups.

We will help answer the question: How do we implement changes in Workday Time Tracking configuration while maintaining a consistent employee experience and without native effective dating in the Time Tracking space?
